An A-grade spruce top paired with walnut back and sides delivers a warm, balanced tone with excellent clarity and projection, while the mahogany neck and rounded-edge frets ensure a smooth, comfortable playing experience straight out of the box.
A standout ergonomic feature of the AS801 is its unique beveled top-front edge hand rest. This intelligently sculpted edge removes the sharp body contact point where the player’s arm naturally rests, significantly reducing fatigue during long playing sessions—whether seated or standing.
For amplified performance, the AS801 features an advanced dual electronics system combining an under-bridge pickup, an internal microphone, and a built-in tuner with EQ. Players can blend the crisp articulation of the pickup with the natural warmth and body resonance of the microphone, or use either source independently. Dedicated bass, mid, and treble controls allow precise tonal shaping, while the internal microphone makes the AS801 especially well-suited to percussive techniques and tapping-style playing.
